There seems to be different standards and rules for different areas of the country. Our Local Census Office prohibits the use of the internet to assist in locating owners and/or occupants. Internet resources such as the reverse address search on phonenumber.com and local tax records online would be useful in identifying and contacting owners to act as proxies.
Just curious:
- Anybody know of areas where use of the internet as an enumerating tool is permitted?
- Anybody know why it isn't permitted - except the obvious potential for fraud and inaccurate information?
