ACRM'S AND AM'S should be FIRED

Unfortunately I work with RCC ACRM and AM who are cut throat and totally unprofessional people. They have antagonized and threaten staff at the LCO level to get the job done as soon as possible. They have created these unrealistic timelines that have overshadowed what the real Census should be all about. The pressure and ridiculous expectations have made people fustrated, vunerable and even mentally and physically sick. Profile Information

What are your thoughts on the Census (optional)?
The Census is a wonderful opportunity to ensure adquate $ get distributed into the communities. It is also a means for people who have been living here in the US for more than 10 years to request Census data on them, (given that they participated in the Census) to establish residency and possibly citizenship.

Unfortunately the RCC does not effectively hire Senior Management that can adequately run the "show". Then again, many Senior Staff like Area Managers,, ACRM and to some point all the Coordinators in charge of a Component (Admin, QA, Field, Recruitment) are a bunch of CLOWNS. They are so committed to shooting venom amongst each other. Because at the Census, it is who you like, not who does the best job. A prime example is in NYC, where you have two ACRM with a very pointed and unprofessional behavior. They hate each other with a passion, pitting other RCC ans LCO staff against each other. Oh, and the competition is so fierce that thye literally hold back information that comes from HQ from each other and the LCO they supervise.

Nationally NYC is always the last to finish. Well, RCC-NYC sure have creative ideas on how to win the battle. Because unfortunately they do not see it as a committment, obligation, need, and even duty. It's all about the money and the possible permanent job. Another point to consider: Why is it that most of the RCC people come from the RO staff?...If the Census recruits, test and hire people from the community they will enumerate......why are there people from Long Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania working in the wrong duty station?

The next Decennial should bring alot of change...starting from the toop. Yes, Mr. Farthhing should consider retiring, or terminated, those permanent employees at the RO should not come back and double dip in the decennial.

In closing, people are hired to work under extreme pressure. The level of intimidation, threats, antagonizing, doubt of leadership and work ethics MUST stop!...Hiring Managers who at the RCC level need time management , anger management and sensitivity training is not the way to go.
The Census can only be productive if the people hired are trained well, treated well and above all respected. No one should have to fear going to work because the deadline , which Nationally is in a months time was not completed yesterday.

The waste begins from the top down...RCC Management believes that by bickering and holding back valuable HQ information that they are going to be the winners. Unfortunately, look who's losing NOW. All the antgonizing, humiliations, threats and ridiculing of managers by AM & ACRM's leads us to where we are NOW. Poor to no training, judgement, character and professionalism has made this decennial, THE MOST WORST EVER....
